When you come to stay with us at Filey Bay Caravans – we can assure you there is PLENTY to do. During peak season, the sites are full of fun activities and entertainment, and stepping off site brings even more things to do and see. But staying in Filey (as fun as that can be) is not the only thing you should do.
Surrounding Filey is a few other towns that are definitely worth a visit when staying with us. One of which is SCARBOROUGH. Scarborough is the original seaside resort, with beautiful scenery and a LOT to see and do whilst there. From indulging in history with a visit to Scarborough Castle, to taking a trip to the sandy beach for an ice-cream and a stroll – your day is more than likely going to be magnificent.
Another town that you should definitely take a trip to when staying in Filey is Bridlington. Again, if you’re a history fanatic then you will love this place, with its pre-Roman harbour and Bayle Museum. However, there is definitely something for everyone – including boat trips, bird-watching and a seashore safari.
Finally – Whitby. Whitby is famous for a whole host of things, including its recognition for serving some of the best fish and chips around. It is Whitby that inspired Bram Stoker for his legendary novel – Dracula. It is Whitby that is home to one of the UK’s main fishing ports. Whitby is a beautiful town that can be enjoyed by the entire family, and you can walk around it in half a day – I’d visit!
